Skirts and Sneaks

I bought this skirt on a whim in Paris at least 3 or 4 years ago. I hadn’t tried it on, I didn’t even bother converting the price of it either…I saw it, loved it, and walked it over to the counter, and bought it!

No regrets! This skirt has character. It has sheen, without being shiny. It is neither too short nor too long..and it goes with just about anything! Seriously! I have worn this piece to interviews, meetings, work, and now..even play! I am completely redefining my own personal style, but it takes some inspiration to put together pieces you wouldn’t have originally thought to do so. I never imagined throwing on a pair of sneakers with a “professional” skirt, but here it is!

Style // Bringing together a variety of elements to create, form, and expression!

I have always loved a good fedora! They INSTANTLY dress up an outfit. Not too many people feel confident wearing a hat because they think it draws too much attention..well hello! That means you’re doing something right! Thanks Vanessa!! (I scooped this one up from a friend, she may never get it back…)

My love of neutrals is very evident. I love crisp whites to brighten up the look. This white soft denim top has become one of my favorites. Super chill, and can be worn with just about anything! It is also both a timeless and ageless cut…win win for everyone!

Now, if only my converse were as white as the top! This look is effortless and comfortable. Who doesn’t love running around town in flats…because let’s be honest, sometimes heels can be a little overrated.

Mixing textures and natural tones

Not a hat person? Live your life!! Lose the hat, because a good hair day (Not speaking about my own, as we can see, appears I don’t own a hair brush) deserves to have it’s day!

I picked converse for this look, but it’s a sneakers world out there, and there are so many styles to choose from! Try lace-ups or slip on sneakers, even ballet flats if that’s your thing. Mix your style and colors, because honestly, there are few rules in style.

Crisp and easy! The options for this look are limitless. Trade the shirt, the skirt, the shoes or the hat for pieces that suit your style best! Think of this as a blank page…fill it with color!
