Red Hot Emmys 2016

This years Emmys fashion was RED HOT!! From long flowing and flirty gowns, to more structured pieces; RED was the the alluring hue…cue red lady dancing emoji.

So many people shy away from wearing this bold color, but live a little! Red is powerful, sexy, and fun.

Own it! It’s not just for the starlets in hollywood, but add it to your closet, I promise you won’t regret it.

Here are some of the beautiful women sporting some flame dresses at the Emmys, how do you feel about their outfit choices?? ~ Inspired maybe…

Portia Doubleday

This Greician draped dress flows so well over Portia. The front cut out balances out a high neck and covered silhouette. Elegant and subtle, she pairs it with a simple hair style, and minimal makeup.

Rhea Seehorn

Rhea mixes and matches the tones and fabrics in her red gown. The sheer halter and solid skirt make for a bold choice. It’s always a risk matching fabrics and shades. She managed to pull it off. An up-do and subtle jewelry keep from making this look overpowering.

Jessie Graff

Jessie’s empire waist adds structure to the otherwise airy and flowy gown. It shows off her well toned arms yet gives her a more feminine look. There’s nothing wrong being a strong woman, and she’s not afraid to show it off!

Tatiana Maslany

Tatiana looks sophisticated in this sheath skirt, cut-out piece by Alexander Wang. She pairs the dress with elegant diamond drop earrings and an updo that look sleek and put together.

Regina King

Regina looks stunning in this Elizabeth Kennedy number. While the dress is not a “true” red, it pairs well with her skin tone. Although there is a lot of overlapping fabric, we still manage to find her figure. Accentuated in all the right places, and a lovely light catching fabric.

Kate McKinnon

Kate chose a very classic style for her Emmys red carpet look. While I absolutely love the vibrancy of Kate’s dress, I would have liked to see her do a little something different with her hair. maybe a braid of some sort? Otherwise, the dress fits her like a glove!

Lindsey Vonn

I love the deep red that Lindsey chose to wear at the Emmys! The deep V and top knot create an elongated neck, which helps balance the flow of the dress. Elegant studded earrings along with smokey eyes are working for her! Bold Maroon with a pale lip, whats not to love!

Priyanka Chopra

Priyanka looks like a princess in this Jason Wu gown. The one shoulder pleats and embellishments keep it from looking too simple, and her slicked back look is polished and sophisticated. Elegant look, even a bangle or a statement ring might have pulled it together!

Julianne Hough

It’s refreshing to see that Julianne didn’t stick to the long train trend that most people tend to choose when dressing in gowns. Instead, this tulip skirt pairs well with the wrap and detailing towards the top. She kept the look clean and summery, which actually works well for her! The smoldering eye shadow and slicked back hair are a nice touch, along with the red sandals.

Connie Britton

Bold choice for Connie. This red-head starlet rocked her red dress. It has texture, layers, patterns and lace, an incredible combination of patterns. Love the rings, but maybe the bangles were a bit much? It could go either way, but she looks great!!
