It’s PARTY SEASON!
Whether you celebrate all the holidays such as Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, New years, or not..There is no denying the multitude of parties that come with the end of year season!!
Finding the perfect outfit to wear can be tricky. Anything from velvet to glitter encompasses the holiday wardrobe, but how do you know what’s appropriate for what event? Does it matter?
<< I truly believe that you’re not overdressed, but everyone else is underdressed! >>
Okay, but you do need to at least look in a mirror before you walk out the door.
Here is a holiday look that could work for all of the above. You can’t go wrong with metallic this year!!
And midi skirts are definitely trending this season! See how I went about dressing up this beautiful, silver metallic skirt!
This outfit will definitely make you STAND OUT in a crowd. Most people don’t feel comfortable wearing metallics, and especially so much of it, but I say go for it!! This look made me feel a little Carrie Bradshaw, and a tad bit ethnic simultaneously..Indian Lengha anyone?
I LOVE this satin crop top. The back is also VERY open, so I threw on a bandeau to make it a little more “office party acceptable”. I also chose a darker reddish/maroon lip to keep up with the bold look. The holiday is all about deep colors and SHIMMER.
I didn’t want to compete with the skirt too much, so went for this semi-delicate beaded tassel necklace. It is extra long, and has some bling on it. Super perfect for a dressy night, or to dress up a casual outfit. I doubled the necklace so it would fall right on the black of the top for contrast.
<Thank you @Noelleema Jewelry for customizing this piece for me! > Find her on Instagram, her pieces are gorgeous!!
Seasonal Nail polish, CHECK! I love classy and timeless colors, and you know I love my delicate jewelry. I say stackable rings, or one big statement piece! You’re not trying to show off your entire jewelry box…let’s leave something for the imagination..and the next party.
Last but not least, a velvet, strappy heel to bring the outfit full circle. I prefer closed toed shoes during the holiday months. They have more of a ‘wintery’ feel! This look could have worked with a deep dark green or deep red heels to tie in from the black top, but I’m all about my black/gold accessories!
