Because a camel colored vest trench coat wasn’t enough, I wanted to style the BLACK VEST TRENCH. For some reason, I am drawn to clothing that sometimes doesn’t make sense seasonally…I don’t buy trench coats for the winter, I save them for the summer.
Regardless, I styled this Spring/Summer look a little differently than I did before, and I love how neutral and simple the pieces are individually. Together, it’s sleek and sophisticated.
Cue trench, nude or simple heels, and a statement purse…because hello, just because I love neutrals, does not mean I can resist a nice little POP. Accessories can change the tone of an outfit completely. In the winter seasons, close toed shoes and maybe a burgundy or dark green purse would be a more appropriate color option.
Viola! It’s essentially a relatively easy equation :
Find a base + Add Layers + Add Accessories (As many as your heart desires) – Take out one accesory = Styled to the T!
You can take this look from brunch, to shopping, to date night..It’s that comfortable, and that universal.
Having a tote is great for carrying extra flats, or makeup for touch ups on the go as well. Sometimes, heels just don’t cut it, and I am all about having options on the go.
I also added some ‘statement’ tassel and beaded earrings to complete the look. Instead of another bright color, or delicate detailed necklace, I wanted something a little more bold, but also nothing overpowering the rest of the outfit. They’re dramatic enough to catch your eye, but also blend right into my hair.
Take caution..I guess this look is on FIRE!!
